The Computer Curriculum at The Linsly School was changed two years ago to reflect current trends in education to move towards an integrated model across all disciplines in the classroom. While we did not eliminate computer science classes all together the past ‘Computer Applications’ model no longer had relevance as a standalone class. Technology liaisons were created for each grade level and in each department to assist the school in integrating the skill-sets students previously learned in Computer Applications in their specific classes. Three new offerings in Computer Science were created and the students were responsible for choosing one as a graduation requirement.
The offerings are:
Introduction to Programming through Interactive Worlds
An overview of Computer Science at the Linsly School using a video made by the Multimedia Production class.
